Compressed Air Receivers
Difference in tank surface finish and recommended usage:
Painted air receiver:
The tank is painted only on the outside, and the internal surface is a standard untreated steel surface, which will rust when in contact with condensate. Therefore, a painted air receiver is advisable to be used in a compressed air system after a compressed air dryer to prevent tank rusting and ensure a longer lifespan, as well as to avoid rust particles from entering the air dryer.
Galvanized air receiver:
The air receivers are coated with a zinc layer both inside and out, which protects them from rust formation. These air receivers are generally very durable. They are good to use in a compressed air system both before and after a compressed air dryer. However, when installed before the air dryer, it is advisable to place an automatic water separator under the tank to avoid excessive liquid buildup in the air receiver, in case the manual drain valve is forgotten.
All air receivers are made in the European Union, CE marked, tested, and come with the necessary pressure vessel certificates.
